Those look great!
My day was ok. I miss driving my cars. Been working at home almost eight weeks now. I think I’ll go for a drive at lunch tomorrow.

Oh those are great!
Day was pretty good. Work was meh. I got new brake pads for my mountain bike, got rid of the squeal, then went on an hour 45 minute ride!

A tree service gave us a quote of $8k to take down one of our trees. Eight thousand dollars. Sure, it’s a hundred foot pine that’s leaning over a bunch of fences, but wow. We’ll be getting other quotes and hoping that they come in a lot lower.

Lighting, it’s still the silver paint from 1996.
![]() 05/12/2020 at 20:38 |

No, I’m dropping them off on friday. Then a 3-4 week turn around.

When real 90's Work 3 spokes come for sale you have act fast.
![]() 05/12/2020 at 20:47 |

It’s a good thing my bolt pattern is 5x112 or I’d be coming by late at night with 4 breeze-blocks!
![]() 05/12/2020 at 20:48 |
|
Are you a member of the rare wheel awareness Facebook group? All I’m going to say is it’s a good thing no 5x100’s pop up on there
![]() 05/12/2020 at 20:51 |
|
Yup, I’m a member there. Being 5x114.3 is blessing & a curse. Lots of wheels are available, but easy to blow money on wheels (like these).
![]() 05/12/2020 at 20:53 |

You have money on your head if you stole them. I need get some locking lug nuts too.

hi i’m good thanks, you? hope you enjoy those cuties

Did a 30 mile bike ride and need to remember to move the van for street sweeping. I want a vehicle that uses fun wheels.

I just don’t love 3 spoke wheels - they’re too asymmetrical for me.
That being said I do kind of like that clean design without any patterns.

Alternatively......

3 spokes have always been a love it or hate it design. I do like that's clean design 3 spoke.

I certainly ain’t going to be the guy up there. I don’t even like getting on a roof, and our house is a single story. The real alternative would be to let the wind blow it over and let insurance pay for the damage. If there weren’t a very real possibility of somebody getting hurt, that is.

Trees are spendy. I’ve chatted with a few young guys just starting in the biz, and their minimums just about made my jaw drop.
Maybe try... Craigslist? The services section has helped me find some good yet affordable skilled labor.

Yeah, we're going to be shopping around. We knew it was going to be pricey but that's a bit too rich for us.

I’ve got a maple, 150-
200' leaf ball, probably about 7' diameter at the bottom (splits off into 7 or 8 18" trunks a few feet up) which loom
s over my house, my garage,
the neighbor’s house, the neighbor’s garage, my shed, the deck,
and just about everything else. It’s healthy, but now and then I think about getting an estimate to dismantle it... I’m too afraid. It does provide a lot of nice shade.
![]() 05/12/2020 at 22:04 |

This doesn’t even give us shade. It was limbed by the previous owners so the first branch is probably 40ft up. Besides that it’s on the east edge of the yard. It’s good for the birds but that’s about it.

Bought a set of really decent used summer tires WITH steelie rims for my Accent for all of $175 CAD! Not bad at all!
The steelies are not perfect...some surface rust, but in a lot better shape than my currently really rusty winter rims. I’ll prob swap my winters onto the better steelies next year and sell my old steelies. I’ll get my winters taken off, and
the summers swapped onto my alloys and installed at my Safety Inspection in late May. :)
![]() 05/12/2020 at 22:16 |

Rattle can the steelies white. That $175 sounds less painful then what these Works cost me. It was well over $300/wheel. The stock wheels will go to winter duty now, the Voggards are way too nice for winter.

But they would look good in gold.

8,000 does seem a little high for one tree, if you have a picture I could tell you if it is (Imo of course).

These are staying s ilver, but getting very m etallic. In the sun they will look great.
